Join us for HOLA’s 2019 annual fundraising dinner on August 10! This year’s theme is Building for our Future. All proceeds will benefit HOLA’s outreach, programming, and construction of a Hispanic Community Center in Painesville.
The fundraiser will include a delicious South-of-the-Border Mexican buffet, festive décor and acoustic music by Elena y los Fulanos. An array of unique baskets and auction items will be available, including an item signed by Pro Football Hall of Famer Anthony Muñoz. Our special guest, the Consul General of Mexico for Michigan and Ohio, the Hon. Fernando Gonzalez Saiffe, will give remarks.
Also meet Ohio artist Alberto “Beto” Marin, originally of Puebla, Mexico, whose art is featured on this year’s event flyer. A signed print of one of Beto’s paintings, created especially for HOLA to honor Ohio’s Latino farmworkers, will be available for auction. The painting evokes the immigrant workers who cultivate flowers in northern Ohio’s nursery industry, with vivid colors and motifs recalling ancient Mesoamerica.
Ticket sales are $50 through July 20. After July 20, ticket price is $65. Purchase tickets at holaohio2019.eventbrite.com
Event sponsorships with additional benefits are also available. Contact veronica@holaohio.org or (440) 812-4626 for more information.
HOLA’s yearly fundraisers are critical to supporting our work meeting the needs of the area’s Latino and immigrant workers, families and children. We hope you will attend and share an evening with us!
